Halloween is almost here. This is a good time in the middle of the year to relax and spend some quality time with you children and the rest of your family. Make the most of Halloween this year with the right planning.
Halloween started back with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain. The end was start to mark the end of the summer and beginning of the cold and dark winter. This occasion came to up because the Samhain believed on October 31 the worlds of the living and the dead became one. The priest believed they would be able to tell the future which was good, but also the food and other harvests would be damaged. To them this was a major event on their calendars.
Today, we view this holiday much differently. The children like to get dressed up and go out in search of candy. The planning starts many months before October 31. The parents are asking their children what they would like to be this year. Next either go shopping for the costume or the material to make the it. Another planning event is the parties. Making a list of all the family and friends that you would like to invite. Dallas has lots of venues to hold these kinds of parties. From the Capital Grille to Dakota’s Steakhouse. Many of the locations offer you great food and plenty of room for all your family and friends to party with you.
All these places are great but you have to find a way to get there to start the party. Forms of transportation come in different sizes. You can take your car, but you will have a lot of stress with the pre-party. Worrying usually happens before and after the event, not during. After the party, depending if they serve beverages or not you might be impaired. The city bus is another option. It might be hard to carry all you party items once you leave and you can not stay the whole time as the buses do not travel all night. Another option is a limousine. There is plenty of room for all your items and you will not have to worry about driving to or from the party venues. Whichever way you choose to travel, make sure it’s the right way for you.
Halloween is a great time of year to bring together family and friends. Spend time with them this Halloween. Memories are something that will last forever.
